Hazardous Waste can be taken to the City's Solid Waste Management Facility Transfer Station located at 1033 Elm Street.
Visit the Household Hazardous Waste Facility's webpage for a list of the materials they accept. The HHW Facility serves both City of Knoxville and Knox County residents.
Medication and Drugs:
Publix grocery stores will collect clean Styrofoam meat and produce trays
Downtown: 2429 University Commons
Turkey Creek: 11656 Parkside Drive
West Knoxville: 2010 Town Center Blvd.
Package Manager (5201 Kingston Pike) will take Styrofoam packing peanuts for reuse.
The UPS Store accepts clean, foam packaging peanuts and bubble cushioning for reuse, some locations may take larger Styrofoam items.
